Creating Custom Playoffs

When setting up playoffs for your flights, GotSoccer has many playoff formats to choose from (see below), however, sometimes you may need a custom playoff for your event. The below instructions will demonstrate how to create custom playoffs for your event. 

 

Step One:

If you need a playoff scenario other than the available scenarios available in the flight setup, you will click "Playoff Editor" in the dark grey menu bar.

 

Step Two:

Title and describe the playoff format and designate the type of event. 

Step Three:

For this example, the playoff scenario will look for the top four teams to meet in the playoffs, regardless of bracket placement. Click "New Tier". 

Step Four:

For this scenario, the "Type" needs to be named "Semi-Final" and "Wildcard" needs to be selected for the teams. This will create the first semi-final playoff match.

Step Five:

Click "New Match".

Step Six:

Create the second semi-final match. 

Step Seven:

Click "New Tier". 

Step Eight:

Title "Final" in the "Type" and select the semi-finals winners.

The playoff you just created will now appear under the flight setup.
